Founded in 2012 by Gordon Shirley, Charles Chambers and Tarik Felix, West Indies Petroleum Limited (WIP) has grown from a local Jamaican fuel supplier to become one of the Caribbean’s leading integrated energy companies. Our journey exemplifies the power of visionary leadership and strategic growth in the regional energy sector.
What began as a small bunkering operation in 2013 has transformed into a comprehensive energy solutions provider, and today, WIP is proud to be:

Under the continued leadership of our founders – Gordon Shirley (Board Chairman), Charles Chambers (CEO) and Tarik Felix (Head of Commercial Operations), the dynamic leadership of WIP maintains their commitment to excellence while pursuing strategic growth across the region.
Land operations continue to grow exponentially and, along with being a major source of fuel products to onshore retail and commercial clients across the island, West Indies Petroleum offers turnkey solutions for fuel storage, enabling clients to have on-site fuel storage and distribution facilities within a short period after the initial consultation.
Following our already established model for fuelling the region by sustainable, economically viable and efficient means, WIP is positioned to be the main source of fuel to a growing clientele throughout the Caribbean and LATAM.
Enhanced Governance
Eric Evans and Amanda Levien have joined the Board of Directors. Both are based in the United States and have significant industry experience and a reputation for excellence on the international stage. Other experts in their fields spearhead avenues for expansion through Business Development, Local Retail and Storage Sales, Export and Regional Sales, as well as delivering the continued expected excellent bunkering service for which WIP is known.

With this as our foundation, West Indies Petroleum has ensured full compliance with all local and international marine specifications and requirements. All the marine products we supply meet the applicable ISO 8217/2010 standards and are in compliance with MARPOL 73/78, Annex VI. All our vessels and ventures are adequately insured and in class.

Our Team
Our Board of Directors are professionals with a knack for extraordinary
thinking that delivers extraordinary results. They have been part of the
West Indies Petroleum Board for several years and collectively have
been instrumental in implementing several strategic initiatives in
growing the business. In preparation for the pending listing of WIP
Energy, three additional Independent Directors will be onboarded to
support the fulfilment of business objectives.
