West Indies Petroleum services over 500 calls a year for cruise ship customers alone at ports in Jamaica, as well as an even greater number of cargo ships calling in at the island. Customers have a choice of pipe-to-ship, or ship-to-ship delivery, when berthed. Additionally, we also offer Offshore Service to ships anchored in harbour, and also those located at Outer Port Limits (OPL) anchorages by choice or due to the draft of the vessel
Jamaica is located in a key geographical position as a port of call for cargo being transported from all over the world via the major shipping routes of the world. The island sits at the doorway of the Panama Canal – at the junction of major global trade corridors with regional trade routes, and Jamaica is poised to position itself as the fourth node in the international logistics chain, joining Rotterdam, Dubai and Singapore.
We utilize a fleet of trucks, storage barges and tankers as well as ex-pipeline to deliver our range of HFO, VLSFO and Diesel, as well as marine lubricants to ships docking anywhere around the island, throughout the Caribbean and the LATAM region. We also operate a fleet of vessels, that vary in strategic size, nature and capacity for our operations from time or time. A re-evaluation is periodocally done, to determine whether we lease, own, or operate these vessels for the purpose of seamlessly transporting our products to our customers across the region.
