A graduate of the University of Technology, Peter-John Westcarr holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation and Controls). Peter-John started his career in engineering as an intern at Alumina Partners of Jamaica (ALPART), where he was assigned to the Process Engineering and Technical Service Department for 20 weeks. In 2009, he joined Jamaica Broilers Group of Companies (“JBG”), then known as Content Agricultural Products in the capacity of Maintenance Engineer, a position he held for eighteen months. Soon thereafter, in 2011, he was appointed Reliability Engineer at the ethanol dehydration plant, a post he held for fourteen months.
He was appointed Maintenance Engineer/ Supervisor in 2012, and then in 2014, the Head of Maintenance and Engineering department before he transitioned to West Indies Petroleum (“WIP”) in 2016 when Jamaica Broilers Ethanol Ltd. was sold to the Company. Peter-John now holds the position of Engineering Manager as well as Terminal Manager. A professional registered engineer, he is an active member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
